Kinston police are searching for a person suspected of shooting two men late Saturday night.
According to the Kinston Department of Public Safety, someone shot Ricky Earl Davis, 26, and Miguel Ari Wingate, 22, at the Carver Courts apartments around 11:59 p.m.
Investigators believe the victims knew the gunman.
Davis was transported to Lenoir Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg but was treated and released. Wingate suffered a gunshot to the abdomen and airlifted to Vidant Medical Center for further treatment. Beth Anne Atkins with Vidant said Wingate remained in critical condition Monday morning.
