On Wednesday, officers with the Kinston Department of Public Safety charged two juveniles with 19 counts of property crimes.
Since Jan. 30, there have been numerous motor vehicle break-ins reported in the northwest portion of the city. Victims reported vehicles had been gone through while parked in driveways or along the street during the nighttime hours.
Both suspects (age 14 and 15) are currently being held in the Pitt County Juvenile Detention Center in Greenville. Both were charged with the following: Ten counts of felony breaking & entering a motor vehicle; two counts of felony second degree burglary; one count of felony larceny of a firearm; six counts of misdemeanor larceny.
